Can Gelat Chardonnay Giró​
The wines created by Can Gelat emphasise sustainability and biodiversity in the vineyard. The grapes that they grow are cultivated with love and respect for the environment, people, flora, and fauna. Can Gelat Chardonnay Giró is an aromatic, concentrated, and complex gastronomic white wine. A great wine for wine lovers to enjoy.
This white wine is made from a blend of Chardonnay and Giró Ros grapes, a varietal that is grown exclusively in Mallorca. The grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks and 50% was then left to age for 6 months. The remaining 50% was aged in 500 litre (lightly toasted) French oak barrels, to add complexity to the wine.
This wine has a very, very low yield of 1000 bottles per hectare.

Aromas: An intense bouquet of well ripened grapes and yellow apple.

Palate: In the mouth it is concentrated and velvety, with hints of ripened fruit, crushed almonds and dry herbs. The higher acidity and minerality adds balance to the wine. This white wine also has a fresh, clean salty note and an appreciative slightly bitter aftertaste.

Serving Temperature: Slightly chilled from 10ºC to 12ºC.

Pairing: Perfect with seafood, fish and cheese, or for simply enjoying at the end of a meal.
